The myco-comical saga of Nita & Friends reveals the social lives of mushrooms and their forest friends who live amongst a world disturbed by anthropocentric hubris.  Acclaimed mycologist Tom Volk describes Nita & Friends as “Fun, cute, *and* educational!”  Through an illustrated allegory, the creator Stephanie Scavelli provides readers with a useful ecofeminist, anti-capitalist critique into the otherwise scientific realm of amateur mycology.  Stephanie is a committed member and former Vice President of the Connecticut-Westchester Mycological Association (www.COMAfungi.org).
